Jenn is seeking representation for her debut crime novel, Opening the Bodies, which takes place in 1894 Philadelphia. Ella, a medical student who runs the dissection lab at her college, discovers her latest specimen is the body of a missing woman. Her best friend Lizzie, a fast-talking reporter, convinces Ella they should investigate the woman’s murder. When they uncover a political conspiracy that puts Lizzie in danger, Ella must find the courage to get out of the lab to save her friend—and catch some bad guys.
Jenn is a student at UC Riverside’s low-residency MFA, holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Religion from the University of Chicago, and was a Tin House 2020 novel workshop recipient. She has worked in academics and finance, and her work has appeared in Litbreak Magazine, Sundial Magazine, and The Copperfield Review.
She is also a literacy advocate and lives in Portland, OR with her partner and children.
